Couple Carjacked in Midlands Intersection at Red Light

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - A man and woman are carjacked at gunpoint while waiting for a red light in Columbia.

Police say two men forced both victims out of the car early Thursday morning at the intersection of Devine St and Beltline Blvd. They then hit the woman in the face before taking their car.

She was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

While officers have recovered the stolen car, the two suspects remain on the loose.
