COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- The fire at a Columbia country club is contained after the blaze grew as high as 10 feet Wednesday night.

The Columbia-Richland County Fire Department says they responded to a compost and brush fire at Wildewood Country Club near Sparkleberry Lane. This forced the closure of one lane on Mallet Hill Road.

The cause has not been determined. Mallet Hill Road is now fully open.
