COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - It's a busy night for the Columbia Fire Department.

A spokesperson says crews battled both smoke and flames that spread to two homes on Kelly Mill Road.

One was reportedly occupied...the other was not.

A portion of the road was closed for about four hours as crews worked to put out the fire.

The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is now investigating a cause.

Damages have not yet been determined.
