Body of Missing Man found in Lake Murray

NEWBERRY, S.C. (WOLO) -- According to the Newberry County Sheriff's Office, the body of a missing man has been found in Lake Murray.

Deputies along with DNR searched Lake Murray near Black's Bridge on Highway 391 Wednesday morning for the man, who has not been identified.

Around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, authorities say they found the man's body.

The man was reported missing by his family Wednesday morning and his truck was later found near Black's Bridge, say officials.

Sheriff Lee Foster tells ABC Columbia News the man had been missing for more than a day.

The Newberry County Water Rescue Team also helped in the search.

Officials are currently working to determine a cause of death.
