Lexington Co. SC, (WOLO)-- A Department of Transportation worker has died following after being struck by a car Monday afternoon.

Investigators with the highway patrol say just after one thirty this afternoon a driver struck and killed the worker on I-20 Near the Bush River Rd. exit.

Investigators say the driver was taken into custody.
