(WOLO) LEXINGTON, S.C., --

Hundreds of Lexington medical staff and dozens of Cancer survivors put on their dancing shoes for the Pink Gloves Dance campaign that last year became a youtube sensation.

The event aimed at raising awareness of Breast Cancer brought out young and old as they danced to choreographed song showing their strength and determination in their continued fight for a cure.

It was a night full of emotion for many of the participants. Especially 5 year Cancer survivor Brittany Barfield who says while she's fine now, the event reminded her of her struggles and how far she has come.

"it's exciting but it also takes me back to what i've been through. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but it's made me who i am today. It's made me a stronger person."

Now Barfield and hundreds of others are hoping they can use this international contest to be an inspiration to others. Showing them that after their battle, they will have a reason to not only live life, but dance through it.
