Lexington Co. SC, (WOLO)--  A 56 year-old Lexington man is dead after deputies say he was shot and killed by his 19 year-old neighbor.

Investigators say just before 7am Wednesday Morning Jeffery Kight fired a shotgun into a glass door outside of the kitchen of William Rush Falls home on Emma Dr. striking Falls in the face and neck.

According to deputies Falls had security cameras set up outside of his home which they say captured Kight standing in Falls' back yard.

Investigators say they also found a shotgun and an expended shell in Kight's room.

Kight is currently being held in the Lexington Co. Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Lexington Co. Sheriff James Metts says Kight's motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
