ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - A fight at a Midlands club turns deadly in Orangeburg County.

Deputies responded to the Gentlemen's Club on Bass Drive early Thursday morning in reference to a shooting. That's where they found a 53-year-old Vance man dead on the ground in the parking lot and a 19-year-old security guard with a bullet wound to his hip. A 22-year-old security guard also at the scene was not injured in the incident.

Investigators say the victim was kicked out of the building for being disruptive. That's when he allegedly pulled out a gun on the two security guards. A fight ensued to get a hold of the weapon, and one of the security guards was shot during that time. The victim was struck at some point, fell to the ground and never got back up.

The incident remains under investigation.
