COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Gamecock fans have another reason not to boo Lee Corso.

The ESPN College GameDay analyst, who said Steve Spurrier would never win an SEC championship at South Carolina, picked the #6 Gamecocks to beat #5 Georgia in tonight's 7 p.m. game on ESPN.

Corso donned the mascot head of Cocky and held the live version of the USC's mascot, Sir Big Spur, to conclude Saturday's GameDay program.

Earlier in the week, Steve Spurrier asked Gamecock fans not to boo Corso.

Thousands of Gamecock fans were on hand for the show that started at 9 a.m. on ESPNU. USC alumnus and lead singer of Hootie & The Blowfish Darius Rucker was the show's celebrity guest. He picked the Gamecocks to win big over the Bulldogs.

Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard said he flipped a coin to predict the winner and went with the Gamecocks. Former Georgia All-American defensive end David Pollack picked the Bulldogs to win tonight's big game, the first time ever the two teams have met with both ranked in the top ten.
