Georgia Man Drowns in Accident on SC Lake

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Officials say a Georgia man drowned during a fishing trip on Lake Marion in accident that four others survived.

The Clarendon County Coroner's Office says 48-year-old Frank Fisher Jr. of Ellabel, Ga., drowned Friday when waves overtook the boat he was in, causing it to capsize.

Four other people were on the boat. Authorities say three swam to a buoy and one swam to a guard shack to call for help.

Fisher's body was found several hours later near Randolph's Landing at Santee Dam.
