WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - The flood gates have opened across the Midlands after several days of heavy rain.

This was the scene Tuesday in West Columbia along the Riverwalk, near the amphitheater: high water.

There were cones and rope blocking off access to the affected areas.

Security officers were also on hand to make sure people did not get too close.
