COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)--In-Vest USA and Riverland Hills Baptist Church will present three bulletproof vests to the Benedict College Campus Police Department on Monday.

Riverland Hills raised money for three vests as part of In-Vest USA's "Bless the Vest" program. Under the "Bless the Vest" program, church congregations can "adopt" one or more law enforcement officers and raise money to equip them with vests.

Letts founded the nonprofit organization in 1993 after learning that many officers served without the protection of life-saving body armor. Since then, In-Vest USA has provided thousands of vests for law enforcement officers and other first responders nationwide.
