Kershaw Co. Man Accused of Sexual Abuse

LUGOFF, S.C. (WOLO)-- A Kershaw County man and woman are awaiting a bond hearing after being charged in connection with alleged sexual abuse.

Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews says the 36-year-old Michael Browning and his wife, 34-year-old Kelly Browning were arrested Monday. He's charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 and she's charged with unlawful neglect upon a child.

Investigators say when they responded to a domestic disturbance call June 11 at the couple's home, a child told authorities she was touched inappropriately and forced into sexual acts.


Both suspects are being held at the county jail.
