Kershaw county Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

(WOLO) KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C, --

Kershaw County Sheriff's arrested 50 year old Gregory Cason weeks after he's suspected of robbing the K-Mart in Camden.

According to authorities, Cason entered the store shortly before the close of business, and hid in a stock room where sheriff's s ay he waited for employees to count the days earnings. Officials say he jumped out and flashed a knife demanding the money.

Authorities say durng a struggle Cason was locked out of the employee room, but managed to escape the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Friday morning Sheriff's responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle parked behind a gas station along Two Notch Road. Inside Authorities say they found Cason sleeping with an open container.

Cason has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
