COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - It's not the piece of mail you want showing up in your mailbox, but some South Carolinians have received a letter from the state's Department of Revenue.

It's to notify them that their personal information was stolen during a major cyber attack last year.

The state says almost four million tax filers were affected.

They have until March 31st to sign up for one free year of identity theft protection.
