Checkmate For Charity

(WOLO) Columbia, SC- "Checkmate"! Pro bono is a hallmark of a USC School of Law experience.
Klaus Johnson, a third year law student and competitive chess player, is applying his passion for pro bono work through the game of chess.
Johnson will play up to 15 people at one time Wednesday, April 3, to raise money and awareness for Harvest Hope Food Bank.
Johnson’s “Checkmate for Charity” will take place from 5 – 9 p.m.
at the Richland County Public Library’s St.
Andrews Branch, located at 2916 Broad River Road.
It’s free to watch, but each board to play is $5
