Local Teacher Accused Of Flag Stomping Resigns

Tonight a Chapin teacher under fire for allegedly stomping on the american flag, has resigned.
Abc Columbia News received a statement from Lexington Richland district five this evening.
It says Scott Compton has resigned from his position as an english teacher for personal and family reasons.
Compton was accused of stomping on an american flag during an english lesson but says he was trying to prove a point.
Compton's resignation is effective at the end of this school year.
