Mother, Son Killed in Crash Laid to Rest
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- Hundreds gathered in Columbia to remember the lives of a mother and son, they say, ministered together, served the community together and laid to rest, together.
The memories of 42-year-old Tanya Hill Dash and her 25-year-old son, Tony Lamar Hill were honored at a dual funeral service Monday at the Bible Way Church of Atlas Road. The pair was killed last week in a car crash on I-20, as they were en route to a ceremony to install Lamar Hill as pastor of a local church. The newly ordained minister was also a gifted musician. His mother, Tanya Dash, was also very active in the children's music ministry at Bible Way. The funeral last more than three hours; however, those who attended say no amount of time will suffice to show their love and gratitude. |

I had the privilege to sing on the combined choir at the funeral. I must say it was quite an experience ! If there is such a thing as a nice funeral or an uplifting homegoing service ....this was it.

I attended the service and I must say that the two of them are truly gonna be missed. There was so much love shown there. The service was more of a church service and I beleive that how they would have wanted to be.
