Officers Catch Bank Robbery Suspect after Chase

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - Police have charged a man in connection with the armed robbery of a Downtown Columbia bank after a brief chase on foot.

Officers say they were following up on a tip when they spotted Lawrence Jordan walking in the 3500 block of River Drive.

He's accused of making verbal threats Wednesday at Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union on Washington Street and taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt in the incident.
