COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - New details surrounding an accident that sent a Midlands student to the hospital

Columbia Police say the child contributed to the collision at the corner of Two Notch Road and Germany Street Tuesday.

They believe he darted out into traffic against a green light.

The driver was also issued a citation for violating a beginner's permit.
