Columbia, SC (WOLO)-- The Richland County Sheriff's Department is partnering with an area hospice company to aid Midlands elderly. Sheriff Leon Lott says they will make Life Scripts available for people under hospice care in the Midlands.

Life Scripts are plastic vials that contain all critical medical information.

The vials are to be placed on the top shelf of the patient's
refrigerator, and a magnet will be placed on the fridge door that reads, "Look in the refrigerator."

For more information please contact Kimberly Pollard, Hospice Care of Tri County at 803-400-1177 or Captain John Edwards, Richland County Sheriff’s Department at 803-576-3109.
