SLED Investigating Body Found at Old State Hospital

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- SLED is investigating a gruesome discovery made on the campus of the old state hospital on Bull Street over the weekend.

According to the coroner, 39 year old Anthony Williams was found hanging by a harness strapped to the frame, holding electrical transformers while suspended 20 feet in the air.

Officials say it appears Williams was trying to steal copper from those transformers.
