Saint Patrick's Day in Five Points Nets Dozens of Arrests

By Rochelle Dean

It's a festival that gets bigger and bigger by the year.

As the Saint Patrick's Day festival draws larger crowds Columbia Police increased manpower in the area so they could respond quickly to any and all issues taking place in the area.

According to Authorities 49 people were arrested in Five Points during the festival. Columbia Police say out of all of the calls for service, more people were arrested for being drunk in public and possession of alcohol as a minor.

Other than being a drunk fest and litter fest, St. Patrick's Day seems to have ZERO value.
