COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- The annual South Carolina sales tax holiday wrapped up Sunday night, bringing out shoppers to save on school supplies and other bargains.

The holiday was implemented as an annual program to help students and parents save on necessary items they purchase in preparation for the school year.

Items such as clothing, computers, and school supplies were included. Cameras, cell phones, sporting equipment are just a few of the items that were not exempt from the tax.

Estimates on sales and turnouts will be available later today.
