Local Siren Testing to Take Place

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - You may hear some alarming sounds right here in the Midlands Wednesday and Thursday, but officials say it's just a test.

SCE&G will sound several sirens located within a 10-mile radius of V.C. Summer Nuclear Station near Jenkinsville.

It will be between 9am and 5pm.

The sirens will last about one and a half minutes and may be tested more than once.
