COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- After a heart-breaking loss to the LSU Tigers Saturday in Baton Rouge, the Gamecocks have fallen out of the AP Top 5 one week after they were ranked No. 3 in the poll.

South Carolina dropped to No. 9, while Alabama and Oregon kept their first and second place running respectively. The Gamecocks' next opponent, the Florida Gators, moved into South Carolina's old spot at No. 3. Kansas State and Notre Dame rounded out the top 5. The shuffle comes after some top rated teams lost this past weekend.

The Gamecocks and the Gators will face off in Gainesville, Florida on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
