Columbia, SC (WOLO)-- Richland County deputies are praising a community's actions Wednesday night to catch an accused child predator.

Investigators say William Brown was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly fondled a young girl who was out trick-or-treating.

According to deputies neighbors heard her cries for help and were able to pull Brown off of the girl and detain him until deputies arrived.
