COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- The stepson of a murder victim pleads with the Honorable DeAndrea Gist Benjamin to deny bond for the accused killer. The judge concurred, citing the allegations of two counts of murder and a potential threat of harm, reasons to send Brett Parker back to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Parker is accused of killing his wife Tammy and family friend/business associate, Brian Capnerhurst, in the Ascot Estates subdivision in Richland County back in April. Prosecutors allege Brett Parker tried to frame Brian Capnerhurst and make it look like he was rescuing his wife from an attack from Capnerhurst. Evidence points to both the wife and business associate being shot multiple times with two different weapons. The defense claims Parker is the real victim in the case. The courtroom was crowded with friends, family and supporters on both sides. The judge gave the defense team six months to prepare for a re-hearing.

Defense lawyers say they plan to regroup and seek a reasonable bond for their client within the allotted time.

Brett look terribly afraid on this clip. He keeps looking for someone. It may be his Mom or Dad. His eyes say, HELP! Brett, your Mom and Dad can't get you out of this one, you are a grown man, the spoiling and getting your way is over man!

How can this be self-defense when clearly he shot his wife 5 times - one bullet to the head at close range??? And Capnerhurst 4 times? If he feared for his life one bullet would have stopped his "attacker." Fedor is so disgusting as well as his sidekick lawyer. Don't know how they can in good conscious defend this low life sleeze ball. Sure hope he doesn't make bail in six months as he does not deserve another day of freedom for his despicable actions. I don't know of anyone else who has killed 2 people getting out on bond and neither should he.
