Thief Uses SUV to Crash into Pawn Shop

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ A thief in North Charleston didn't worry about picking a lock. He simply used an SUV to smash through the front window of a pawn shop.

Authorities say a stolen SUV smashed in the front window of a pawn ship early Thursday. The driver apparently then made off with nine handguns, leaving the wrecked vehicle inside the store.

Authorities think the SUV was stolen from nearby Dorchester County.
