McEvoy was pulled over in Mecklenburg County, N.C. on July 29th and charged with speeding and driving after consuming.

Per university athletics department policy, McEvoy was suspended after his arrest but was with the team for the start of preseason practice
The 6-6, 209-pound quarterback was a fourth-teamer on the depth chart entering preseason practice.

In USC's 2012 spring game, McEvoy was 8-12 passing for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
