NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a worker at the Boeing plant in North Charleston has died 11 days after he fell from a platform at the aircraft plant.

The Charleston County Coroner's Office said 38-year-old David Priester died Friday at the hospital from a brain injury.

Authorities say Priester was hurt on March 18 when he fell from the platform in an area where the rear of the 787 Dreamliner aircraft is put together.

Boeing issued a statement saying the company was providing support to Priester's family and co-workers and was investigating why the worker fell.
