COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- An early Saturday morning wreck has resulted in death.

The Highway Patrol says at 3:55 a.m., Jacob Henry Woo was driving a 2010 Kia southbound on Farrow Road near the corner of Farrow Road and Wilson Boulevard when the driver lost control and hit a power pole. The driver was apparently not wearing a seat belt.

Woo was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck caused the roads in the area to be shut down because of downed power lines, but officials have now allowed traffic to flow through the area again.

The Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
