Zimmerman Found Not Guilty

By Rochelle Dean

Late this evening George Zimmerman's monitor bracelet was cut off and bail released after a jury of 6 women came back with a not guilty verdict against the former neighborhood watchman.

The jury spent more than 16 hours coming to the decision, coming back once to ask the judge a question about manslaughter.

The jury had three options. They could have charged Zimmerman with second degree murder, manslaughter, or not guilty.

Immediately after the verdict was read crowds who gathered outside the Sandford Florida court room gave emotional reactions to the verdict.

Some saying the verdict shows the judicial system works, others upset over the decision they say robbed the Martin family of justice.
