PICKENS, S.C. (AP) _ Bond has been denied for an Easley woman accused of arranging for a childhood friend to kill her husband.

A judge Friday denied bond for 34-year-old Crystal Gail Williams on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

Williams has been in jail since January, when her husband, 38-year-old Shane Williams, was found shot to death inside the family's home.

Authorities found cellphone messages between Crystal Williams and 35-year-old Marcus Johnson discussing what she might pay him to kill her husband.

Authorities say Johnson came to the couple's home the night of the killing, and Williams let him in. While he sat in the living room, Williams told her husband their fire needed more wood. Johnson shot Shane Williams as he walked into the room.
