(WOLO) Columbia, SC-The South Carolina National Guard’s Bravo Company, 198th Expeditionary Signal Battalion will hold a departure ceremony for approximately 130 deploying Soldiers Saturday, April 6, at Little River Multi-Cultural Center, Hodges, S.C.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.
The Soldiers will travel to Texas for training prior to departing for Afghanistan.
They will be mobilized and deployed for approximately 12 months. The unit’s mission is to provide satellite communications support as part of the network in country.
