By Eric Weisfeld

(WOLO)Columbia, SC-Richland County Sheriff Deputies have arrested Jessica Lynn Hunt (DOB10/26/76) and they're requesting the community’s assistance in locating Dameion Rhyhelee Rembert (02/01/82); both for burglary and grand larceny. Sheriff Leon Lott says May 9th, Deputies were dispatched to a call of a burglary that had just occurred at #2 Hialeah Park Lane in Blythewood, SC 29016.
Upon arrival, deputies found that a female and male suspect had forced entry into the home by kicking in the garage door and the door leading into the house.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the victim was home at the time of the burglary and called 911 after making contact with the suspects.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects fled the area after stealing the victim’s cordless house phone, generator, lawn trimmer and a 48” Samsung Television; which they loaded into a getaway vehicle (a U-Haul truck).
Sheriff Leon Lott added that investigators have since determined that Hunt and Rembert were responsible for the burglary. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that investigators have also determined that Hunt and Rembert used the same U-Haul truck, one day earlier on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Circle K on Clemson Road, to steal bags of mulch.
A concerned citizen copied down the license tag number of the truck.
Sheriff Leon Lott added that with the vigilant citizen’s information, on the U-Haul truck and suspect descriptions, investigators were able to arrest Hunt on Wednesday May 15, 2013.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Hunt rented the truck Saturday, May 4, 2013 and had failed to return it; she has been charged with grand larceny and burglary 2nd.
Sheriff Leon Lott added that investigators have received a crimestoppers tip that has identified Rembert, as being involved in the burglary, and are following up on that tip and additional leads to locate and arrest Rembert in connection with these crimes.
