Esurance Expanding in Greenville

By News Department

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WOLO) -- Insurance provider Esurance is planning to expand operations in the upstate.

State officials say the company is investing $2.1 million dollars in a new sales and claims office in Greenville.

The expansion is expected to create up to 450 jobs in sales and claims.

Esurance was acquired by Allstate in 2011 and sells auto insurance directly to customers online and through call centers.

State officials say the Greenville office is expected to open this summer.
