High Speed Chase Leads to NC Man's Arrest

By News Department

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - A North Carolina man and woman are behind bars following a high speed chase than spanned two Midlands counties.

While patrolling Interstate 20 Tuesday afternoon, Kershaw County deputies say they pulled over a Dodge Charger near the 101 mile marker and tried to interview the driver, 26-year-old Jametrice Jacobs, and the passenger 30-year-old Clinton Harris. They claim Harris was acting nervous before he jumped behind the wheel and took off. Jacobs was left behind at the scene.

Harris allegedly led authorities on a chase through Kershaw and Lee Counties at speeds of more than 125 mph. At one point, deputies say he was even driving the wrong way on Interstate 20 before getting off the SC 341 exit ramp. Harris was eventually taken into custody at a gas station near that exit.

Deputies were able to confiscate Ecstasy tablets, a baggie of white powder that's believed to be meth and some marijuana.

Speeders are indeed just plain EVIL...they have a definite in your face attitude - don't value their life NOR others.
