COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) -- In the ten years it took Donna Thompson to finally leave her abusive boyfriend, it would be another nine months to successfully execute her plan of escape. It's all a distant memory now, but she shares her story so other domestic violence victims can empower themselves to leave for good.
