Man Arrested after Stray Bullet Strikes Toddler

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - The man wanted in connection to a shooting that left a toddler in critical condition is now behind bars.

Wednesday afternoon, 21-year-old Marcus Gantt was arrested at a Columbia home on Lansing Circle.

Gantt is a suspected gang member.

Police say he ran toward a vehicle by the Colony Apartments on Monday and fired, trying to strike those inside.

The incident was captured on surveillance video.

A four-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet while watching TV.

She remains in the hospital.
