ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) _ At first, a Richburg woman could have used a locksmith, but after police caught up with her, she would need an attorney even more.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports that police said the woman locked herself out of her car Sunday in the parking lot of a Kohl's department store, then tried to use a stolen barbecue fork to jimmy the door open.
Police arrived before the woman could open the door. She admitted stealing three pairs of socks, and when officers searched her purse, they found two shirts stolen from a nearby store, as well as 19 Xanax pills and one Suboxone pill. She later admitted that the jeans found under her sweat pants were also stolen.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Nicole Showers on drug and shoplifting charges.
