COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - Downtown Columbia is ready to kick off the holiday season Thursday night. That's during the annual Vista Lights celebration.

Our own Reg Taylor will be broadcasting live from there during our 6pm newscast.

More than 60 galleries, shops and restaurants plan to open their doors from 5pm 9pm, and the event would not be complete without a tree lighting ceremony at 7pm.

Unless you're attending Vista Lights tomorrow night, you may want to avoid the area. The event will cause a temporary traffic advisory. Portions of Gervais, Lincoln and Park Streets will be closed from 6pm to 10pm.
