SC NFL Stand outs Wanted for Questioning
(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C., --
An altercation inside the Greenhouse Nightclub, in the SoHo district of New York City has two former Gamecock stand outs wanted for questioning.
The victim, 28 year old Michael Haver says he was in the VIP room of the club last Friday when he was attacked. Reports claim there was a disagreement between the men that spurred the fight, but Haver says he only remembers being beaten so severely he ended up in the hospital and having to undergo 4 hours of surgery to repair his face.
Haver's attorney talked about his injuries.
"He has screws in his face, he has never damage, permanent vision loss, loss of sensation. I mean these are irreparable damages."
Authorities say former Cornerback, Victor Hampton and Defensive tackle, Kelcy Quarles are not suspects in the incident, but would like to question the two men.
Quarles however denies even being there releasing a statement saying it is not fair, he's mad and is focused on how the bad publicity may now affect his draft status.
Hampton was not available for comment, but we have learned this is not Hampton's first run in with the law.
According to Columbia police, Hampton was arrested just last week after a verbal altercation between he and his sister got out of control at their Columbia home.
In that case, Hampton called the incident a " common sibling spat" something he and his family are trying to move past.
Hampton and Quarles have both returned to South Carolina which New York police say is making it hard to question to the men about where they were when Haver was viciously beaten.
