COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) - Some Columbia residents no longer have to take an extra step to use the water inside their homes.

The city has lifted the boil water advisory for Ascot Subdivision, following a water line break earlier this week. That was between Kennerly and Hollingshed Roads.

After collecting bacterial samples, officials determined the water was safe to use.
