A man is drowned after an accident in the broad river Saturday evening.
Authorities tell us the unidentified victim was swimming near the broad river bridge when he failed to resurface just before 8 Saturday night.

Officials are still trying to figure out what caused the deadly incident. Still as many people get ready to hit the water during this Memorial Day weekend, rescue crews remind people to play it safe.

Keep in mind when you are out in the water, the depth of rivers and lakes can change. To be extra careful wear a life jacket to stay a float.

Saturday alone, authorities tell us 3 people drowned in separate incidents
