(WOLO) RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C., --

A Richland county deputy is recovering after authorities say he was injured responding to a noise complaint.

Authorities say it happened in the 5 hundred block of South belt Line Boulevard as they responded to an apartment for a noise complaint.

Once officials arrived at the home they say they attempted to make contact with the individuals inside when deputies say a shot was fired at them through the door of the home striking one of the responding deputies in the upper body. His injuries have are consider non life threatening.

Authorities say they have arrested two people who were inside the home. 23 year old Jacob Mabry has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. 23 year old Regina Loundagin has been arrested and charged with intent to distribute marijuana.
