SLED Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office is confirming reports of an officer-involved shooting.

A spokesperson says a deputy was responding to a harassment call on Chitwood Street Tuesday afternoon, and that deputy ended up firing on the 42-year-old victim, killing him.

At this time, it's not known what led up to the shooting.

SLED is now handling the investigation.
