USC travels globe with music, dance, food, fashion
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Students from around the world at the University of South Carolina are giving their fellow students a chance to travel the globe without leaving the Columbia campus.
The students are hosting World Night on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Russell House ballroom.
The event features a talent show of international dance, music and singing performances. International foods and fashion also are highlighted.
University spokeswoman Megan Sexton says the event is the school's largest multicultural event during the academic year and is hosted by International Student Services. Tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door.
Sexton says about 1,300 students from other nations attend the university.
