(WOLO) NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. _ Authorities say a father shot and killed his 21-year-old son, then turned the gun on himself in their North Augusta home.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said the man's wife discovered her husband and son dead when she returned home around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators said the father and son appear to have been arguing before the shooting.

The coroner says an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to confirm that 52-year-old Samuel Hewitt shot his son Brandon, then killed himself.
