(WOLO) LEXINGTON, S.C., --

At just 9 years old Richard Culliver was living with some very adult issues.
at age 7 - he was diagnosed with an in operable brain tumor.
still he was living - while family and friends continued praying.

Then earlier this month doctors discovered a spot on his brain - a second tumor.
while the type of condition culliver suffered was severe and according to doctors tough to treat - those who knew him and some who didn't were determined to help.

Sunday morning as longtime supporters gathered in Lexington to raise money for increasing medical costs, they discovered the little boy who made everyone's heart feel just a little bit bigger had passed away.

" Richard is not dead, he is here with us in spirit. He lived more of a life than some 70 or 80 year olds."

Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
